Commissioning Engineer
About the position
EPEC are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to ensure substation primary plant and secondary systems are commissioned with high accuracy and precision. This role will provide a professional technical consultancy and management service through the application of well-developed engineering capability.
The ability to manage commissioning and integration of substation projects through provision of testing and commissioning services by internal staff and external contractors, ensuring procedural technical compliance and risk analysis components are delivered efficiently, within scope will be essential.
Leverage your industry expertise to provide professional engineering advice relating to substation commissioning and maintenance, develop commissioning plans, outage plans, inspection and test plans and secondary works programs for staging and management of substation primary plant and secondary system commissioning projects.
The ability to clearly articulate and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders is critical. Our ideal candidate will possess high level critical thinking and problem solving with a collaborative working style.
About you
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering acceptable for membership of Institution of Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineering category
- Full working rights within Australia essential
- 3+ years of experience in the delivery of multi-discipline complex high voltage grid connection projects with a background in an engineering design, build & commission operating environment
- Dedicated, driven and hard working, going above and beyond to solve problems and meet critical deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels and successfully negotiate with and influence senior level stakeholders
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management and knowledge of quality assurance principles
- Valid Australian drivers licence essential
