Unlike probabilistic guesswork, EPEC’s price forecasting reflects how the NEM actually operates modelling network congestion, outages, and realistic asset bidding to produce forecasts you can act on.
VIIVX Instability Monitor
As NSPs across the NEM tighten instability detection requirements under NER clause S5.2.5.10, generators need a straightforward way to demonstrate compliance without adding complexity to their site. TransGrid, VicGrid and Powerlink have each released their own requirements under this clause, and more NSPs are expected to follow.
VIIVX was developed in-house by EPEC Technologies, drawing on EPEC’s own experience delivering grid connections and commissioning across the National Electricity Market. It detects forced oscillations in real time and integrates directly with existing site SCADA via Modbus TCP, so there’s no separate vendor or specification to manage.
