Senior SCADA Engineer
About the position
Due to organisational growth, we are looking for a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead the design, implementation and commissioning of SCADA systems across our substation and renewable energy projects. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in integrating, automating and managing control systems that enable optimal performance and efficiency for high voltage substations and renewable energy assets, such as wind, solar and battery storage systems.
Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SCADA software platforms, RTUs, and HMI systems as well as a strong understanding of SCADA and communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, etc.). Your background in renewable energy projects and knowledge of cybersecurity standards relevant to industrial control systems will ensure your success in this position.
About you
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering acceptable for membership of Institution of Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineering category
- Proven experience in the design and development of high voltage systems and familiar with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Proficient with AutoCad (desired Ignition)
- Experienced in the development and delivery of substation SCADA control systems for complex high voltage grid connection projects
- Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and regulations
- Exposure to balance of plant SCADA systems is an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels, successfully negotiating and influencing to define project delivery solutions in line with performance targets
- Full working rights within Australia and a valid Australian Drivers Licence
